The Summit started bright and early Saturday morning with a packed agenda of A-list speakers.

The crowd filled one of the the largest rooms at Washington University. Presenters (Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn Jr., Dr. Scott Stoll, Dr. Michael Greger, Dr. Fred Williams, Dr. Jim Loomis, and StlVegGirl, Caryn Dugan) discussed the latest research on how plant-based eating can prevent or reverse a host of common chronic illnesses including heart disease, diabetes,  cancers, auto-immune diseases and more. There was even a cooking demo showing attendees how to make the meal they ate for lunch!

After the Summit Saturday night, the VIP speakers relaxed and kicked back at Fred & Ricky's home.

We had very interesting conversations around how to make plant-based eating more mainstream; and Fred had the opportunity to share with Dr. Esselstyn how some of the Fred & Ricky's menu was directly inspired by his words.

The crew outdid themselves preparing an incredible 5 course dinner.

Our guests enjoyed a beautiful Kaleo Salad, Seared Italian Polenta and a trio of Italian favorites before finishing with a decadent Chocolate Mousse. They toasted a successful Summit as they cleaned their plates!

It was a great honor to be a part of such an important event right here in our hometown of St. Louis.

We look forward to continuing the conversation as we pursue our mission of making plant-based eating both easy and delicious.

Thanks for sponsoring this summit.

I was out of the country. I bought tickets for friends to attend the event. They both loved it.

We once heard from a renowned businessman that the way to impact the world isn’t to run for political office but to start a business. We took that to heart. Nearly two years ago, we opened Fred and Ricky’s Plant Delicious Foods, a singularly unique retail concept in which we prepare no oil plant-based food, that are not just quick and easy to heat and eat but also are both delicious and nutritious.

In just 2.5 months, he lost 35 pounds and reduced his cholesterol by 80 points. After six months, he's at the same weight he was as a high school athlete and he feels better than he has in years.
