Cuban Black Bean Soup

  • Rich black beans are soaked overnight and slow cooked with onions, garlic and seasonings into a thick rich soup, topped with a sprinkle of red pepper, jalapeno and onion. Generous 15 oz portion. Family size serves 3-4.

  • Regular Size: Remove lid. Cook on high 1.5 mins. Stir. Cook 1 more min. IF FROZEN: Heat 2.5 min on Medium power. Stir. Cook 2 mins. more on med-high heat. Family Size: MICROWAVE: Remove lid and rest atop dish. Microwave on high 8 mins. Let sit 3 mins. Break frozen bits and stir thoroughly. Heat another 3 mins. For food safety, cook thoroughly to 165° F. Based on 1200 watt appliance.
